[NEWS] 2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards in Singapore

K-pop events are getting more popular in Singapore in recent years but nothing can beat the upcoming 2011 Mnet Asia Music Awards (MAMA) that will be held on our sunny shores on November 29.

It will be the second time that MAMA is hosted outside of Korea and first time ever for a large scale K-pop award gig to hit Singapore! This will be a dream come true for any Singaporean k-pop lovers to witness a Korean music award ceremony live!

Last year’s MAMA attracted 1.9 billion viewers worldwide with both Korean and international acts! Similar to last year’s, the 2011 MAMA will include performances and award presentations from Korean, Taiwanese, Japanese and not forgetting our very own local artistes.

[EXCLUSIVE] Kim Hyun Joong THEFACESHOP Asia Tour in Singapore Press Conference

Eight months after his visit to sunny Singapore, Kim Hyun Joong is back again as THEFACESHOP ambassador.

During these eight months, Kim Hyun Joong has been busy with his Breakdown mini-album as well as promotion for it. He wanted to have mini-concert in Singapore during this visit but his schedule did not permit him to do so. However, he mentioned that he plans to have a concert in Singapore early 2012 so fellow henecias, look out for his concert early next year!

[NEWS] 2PM Hands Up Asia Tour in Singapore

2PM proved their popularity in Singapore during the MNET Ultimate Live in Asia last year. Singing a total of 14 songs, the finale performer for that night got fans cheering and hoping for a 2PM solo full-fledged concert. Well, Singapore Hottests will be glad to know that Singapore will be the 3rd overseas stop for 2PM’s Hands Up Asia Tour, happening this November 19!

[NEWS] Sundown Festival 2011

With a social mission to unify Asian artistes and music as a whole, Sundown Festival is back this year for the 3rd year running! The festival has featured some of the most sought-after artistes from Korea and Japan, and this year, Taiwanese artistes are added to the performing list!

Organised by Red Spade Entertainment, Sundown Festival 2011 line-up includes Vivid from Japan, Hebe Tian, Zhang Yun Jing and Show Luo Zhi Xiang from Taiwan as well as Teen Top from Korea! Besides these performing acts, fans can also indulge in the best Asian Street Food from Taiwan, Korea and Japan!

[NEWS] Miss A Showcase in Singapore 2011

After performing in Korean Music Wave in mid July 2011, Miss A will return for their very own showcase this September! The quartet will sing at least 9 songs and play 2 to 3 games during the Special Showcase.

The ticket for this showcase is not the usual concert ticket. It is a collectable picture card worth S$50 and is exclusive to those attending the showcase in Singapore. Specimens of  picture cards can be seen as the bottom of this post. During the showcase, 2 lucky fans will be picked by Miss A. The first fan will join them in the same coach after the showcase to the restaurant and have dinner together. The second fan will join them to certain places of interest the next day, also in the same coach.

Those who are interested in fulfilling their idol dreams should not miss out on this showcase too as a Special Audition will be held in December this year for concert goers of Miss A showcase! Check out the FAQ here. More information about the audition will be revealed in due course.
